Hate Doesn’t Come From God. What Loving Your Neighbor Actually Means.

Let’s read that verse again, because many…Christians also…are not taking in His Word here as I see it over and over again often.

WHOEVER LOVES GOD MUST ALSO LOVE HIS BROTHER.

So that means not just your family and friends, but your fellow man, woman, and child. That means it includes whatever gender, whatever race, whatever sexual orientation, whatever crime they commit, whatever enemy they are! So quick is someone to judge others and hate…even “Christians”. God didn’t say to JOIN them and sin like picking up a gun and joining them in that bank robbery… He said to LOVE them.

LOVE ALL.

You are not better than anyone if you have hate in your heart.

You can dislike their actions if those actions are against God’s commands for us, but our job as children of God is to be a reflection of Jesus, to point to Him, and help those who are lost find their way. This is loving your neighbor.

If you have hate in your heart, then it is coming from the world, not God. Time to TURN OFF your TV and open your Bible instead and be transformed by the RENEWING of your mind (Romans 12:2).

Read the full verse again:

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. ….” 1 John 4:7–21 ESV

We say all this because we love you, brothers and sisters.
